Level 1 Assessment and Referrral Services
Diagnostic/Assessment is a behavioral health assessment that identifies the individuals need for SUD treatment and determines the appropriate level of care of SUD and initiates the course of treatment.
Level 1 Outpatient Services
As a Level 1 Outpatient Program Provider, Providence Healthcare Services will provide up to eight (8) hours of treatment services per week for adults.
Individual Counseling / Therapy
Will be a face-to-face service with an authorized Qualified Practitioner for symptom and behavior management, development, restoration, or enhancement of adaptive behaviors and skills, and enhancement or maintenance of daily living skills to facilitate long-term recovery. The Individual Counseling/Therapy will address the specific issues identified in the plan of care.
Group Counseling / Therapy
Group SUD Counseling/Therapy will include Cognitive Behavioral Groups, Support Groups, and Interpersonal Process Groups.
- Cognitive Behavioral Groups will have a trained facilitator who will utilize a specific therapeutic model to alter thoughts and actions that lead to substance abuse.
- Support Groups will focus on uplifting members and provide a forum to share pragmatic information about maintaining abstinence and managing day to day, chemical free life.
- Interpersonal Process Groups will delve into major developmental issues that contribute to addiction or interfere with recovery.
Family Counseling / Therapy
Family Counseling/Therapy will be a planned, goal-oriented therapeutic interaction between a Qualified Practitioner and the client's family, with or without the client present. The Family Counseling/Therapy is to advance the individual's functioning with his or her family and cultivate the awareness, skills, and support to facilitate long term recovery.
Group Counseling - Psychoeducation
Group Counseling – Psychoeducation will focus on a subject relevant to the individual’s needs and as required by the individual’s plan of care. The session will include a facilitated group discussion focused on applicable topic(s).
Case Management Services
Case Management facilitates implementation of the plan of care and administrative facilitation of the consumer's service needs, which includes scheduling of appointments, assisting in completing applications, facilitating transportation, tracking appointments, and collecting information about the consumer's progress. Case Management also includes linking consumers to vocational/educational services, housing services, legal monitoring entities, child care, public assistance, and social services.
Drug SCreening Services
Drug Screening consists of toxicology sample collection and breathalyzer and urine testing to determine and detect the use of alcohol and other drugs. Drug screening will be in compliance with DBH’s drug screening policy.
Crisis Intervention Services
Crisis Intervention is an immediate short-term treatment intervention, which assists a client to resolve an acute personal crisis that significantly jeopardizes the client's treatment, recovery progress, health, or safety. Crisis Intervention is a service available at all levels of care and can be provided to any individual in treatment, even if the service is not included on the plan of care.
Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Services
As a Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Provider Providence Healthcare Services provides nine (9) to nineteen (19) hours of treatment services per week for adults.
